Nora’s Cozy Sweatpants are suitable for both at home or in kindergarten. The sweatpants are knitted from the top down and starts with rib stitches along the waistband. The waistband is folded in half and knitted or sewn down where an elastic band can be added. Then the back of the sweatpants are knitted first to raise the back of the pants. I prefer German Short Rows, but you can choose what works best for you. The stitches are increased before dividing for each pant leg. A rib cuff is added at the bottom on 3.5 mm needles to create a tighter fit at the bottom, but you can choose to continue with 4 mm needles for a looser fit.
