The Paul Sweater is worked from the top down in stockinette stitch. First, the left and right shoulders are worked
separately before being joined into a single piece. After that, stitches are picked up to work the back. Then, stitches are picked up again to work the right and left fronts. German Short Rows are used to ensure a comfortable fit at the shoulders. Once all the parts are completed, they are joined for knitting in the round. Next, stitches are picked up to work the neckline in a 1×1 rib, worked in the round. Finally, the stitches are picked up to work the sleeves in the round.
