The Nelia Sweater is worked top-down in stockinette stitch with pretty stripes and details. The back is worked first, flat, with increases to form a trapezoid shape. Stitches are then picked up for the shoulders, and further decreased and increased to shape the armhole and neckline. The front and back are joined, and the body is worked in the round in stripes, finishing with ribbing. The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches around the armhole, using German Short Rows to shape the sleeve cap, with stripes matching the body. Finally, the neckband is worked in double knitting and ribbing, then folded double.
