The sweater consists of a delicate braided structure and a double neckband. With a straight and slightly oversized fit, this will be the go-to sweater in the wardrobe. The Lounge Sweater is worked top down. First, the back is worked back and forth with increases to shape the shoulders, and then the armhole is shaped. The front is formed by first picking up stitches and working the shoulders separately with increases to shape the neck opening. It is then joined and increases are made to shape for armholes, before the back and front pieces are joined and the body is worked in the round. The sleeves are worked by picking up stitches around the armholes. Finally, stitches must be picked up to knit the neckband. The pattern allows you to choose between loose or close-fitting cuffs. Happy knitting!
