This beanie is worked in the round top-down in Stockinette Stitch. First, the crown of the beanie is shaped by a series of increases worked according to a chart, and then continued in the round in Stockinette Stitch. When reaching the hem, the work is turned so that the WS of the beanie becomes the new RS – this is done using the method German Short Rows. The hem is then worked in the round in Stockinette Stitch, and finally folded and closed using the 3-needle bind- off method to make it double layered.
