The Astrid Sweater is knitted from the top down. You start by working the upper part of the back using short rows. Stitches are then picked up along both sides to shape the shoulders, which are joined to form the front. The body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch and finished with a wide ribbing and Italian bind-off. Stitches are picked up for the neckband, and finally for the sleeves, which are knitted with decreases and finished with a wide ribbing at the cuffs.
