Swan cardigan is knitted top down in a ribbed pleated pattern. First, the back is knit flat and shaped with short rows, before stitches are picked up for the front yokes. Increases are worked for the neck. The left and right front yokes are knit separately, before all the yokes are being joined and knitted flat. Sleeves are picked up and knitted in the round in the pleated pattern and decreases. Both the body and sleeves are finished using a double folded ribbing.
