When you make the Little Ladybug Mittens, you first knit the mitten in a main color before embroidering the motif with mattress stitch. I knit the mitten in Highland Wool and embroidered the motif using small yarn scraps I had in matching colors. The project is perfect for leftover yarn since you only need a total of 14-16 grams of yarn. Enjoy your knitting <3
